Danielle East threw a 5-inning no hitter with all 15 outs on strikeouts in a 10-0 run-rule win at New Mexico on Saturday. It is believed to be the first Fresno State no-hitter in which every out was a strikeout

She allowed just two base runners in the game on a walk and hit batter as the Lobos did not put a ball in play. Of East's 15 strikeouts, 11 were swinging, three were looking, and one came on a foul bunt with two strikes.

Her 15 strikeouts are a new program record for a 5-inning game and were just three shy of the 7-inning program record of 18. East became the 22nd pitcher in program history to throw a no-hitter, recording the 74th no-hitter in program history

East also started against the Lobos in the series opener on Thursday and had 13 strikeouts as NM rallied for a 4-3 win in 7 innings. Over two games during the week (11.2 innings) East had 28 strikeouts with a .171 opposing batting average.
