The
excitement started early Friday morning as the kick off to Fresno State
football began with a slew of early morning radio and television broadcasts
live at Bulldog Stadium.
The coverage
of the 2010-2011 Bulldog season launched into action at 5 a.m., with the KMPH
Great Day morning show and continued from there as six radio stations and four
television groups weighed in on the ins and outs of the highly anticipated seven-home
game season that will be underway Sept. 4 at home against Big East Champion
Cincinnati.
Many Valley
media members pitched their tents and camped out at the stadium to interview
head coach Pat Hill and quarterback Ryan Colburn along with other leading starters
to dig into the action that is to come on the field. Radio stations covering
today's events include KMJ 580, ESPN Deportes, ESPN Radio with Paul Swearingen,
and the morning show with Jennifer Lipp on 105.1 The Blaze.
The Fresno State spirit squad and dance team, along with Time Out and Victor E. Bulldog also took to the field with the team for great photo opportunities to help bring out the spirit that is Fresno State and rev up fans for an exciting season.
The
Fresno Bee, in collaboration with the Fresno State Athletic Communications
office, will once again offer fans a great way to learn all about the Bulldogs
before they hit the field Sept. 4 with their special edition section and
preview that will run Saturday, August 28.
The
publication will include features from in-depth interviews with players and
coaches, previews, biographies, depth chart, a season overview with a look into
the competition and all the useful game day information from stadium maps to
concessions, ticket prices and parking.
This will be a fan's hot commodity this season with a seven-home game
schedule and Centennial Celebration of the University.
This
special section insert will also include photos and an intricate look into the
true guts of Bulldog football, some stories behind the scenes and into the
lives of student-athletes, and even a look into the life of the living Bulldog
himself, Victor E. Bulldog. This is a
true fan's guide to Bulldog football, so look for your 2010 special edition of
the Fresno State Bulldogs in the coming weeks.
