Fresno State's Paul Ladwig, Associate Athletics Director of Marketing and Promotions, recently made a trip down to San Diego to see former Bulldog Ryan Mathews in his NFL debut and saw a couple other 'Dogs while he was there.

Three former Bulldog football players graced the field at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego during the 2010 NFL pre-season.

"They looked and carried themselves like professional NFL athletes when they took the field," said Ladwig. "You could see they were dialed in with an intense focus before the game."

"Around the stadium I saw red #21 Fresno State jerseys and #24 Charger jerseys," said Ladwig. "Ryan Mathews is already making an impact on the team and the public. He has great potential to be an NFL superstar."

"Mathews exuded an attitude of appreciation towards the fans and enjoyed being there," Ladwig explained. "He played the first half, and the best play came on a carry when Ryan put his head down and plowed through a surprised Bear, Brian Urlacher."

4147499.jpegThe proud moment for Paul Ladwig came seeing "all three Bulldogs, all Chargers, all on offense, and all in the game at the same time; I am positive that has never happened in an NFL huddle before."
