Ward Named Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week

    Against nationally ranked Texas A&M, sophomore Taylor Ward provided the walk-off RBI double against two outs in the bottom of the ninth last Sunday to seal the series sweep over the Aggies. Ward, a criminology major at Fresno State, hit for an average of .417 with five hits, one run scored and two RBIs over the three-game stretch. He would later be named the Mountain West Player of the Week, while the Bulldogs broke into the Top 25 for the first time since 2011.
