Sophomore attacker Briana Hetherington led the offense as the Bulldogs beat Long Island University 17-12 on Saturday marking their first win in program history.
Hetherington started for the Bulldogs and scored four goals throughout the game, scoring three in the first half and finishing up with one in the second. The Bulldogs recorded 41 shots and Hetherington made the most of her opportunities scoring four goals on five shots.
Fresno State led wire-to-wire and as the final horn sounded, the Bulldogs rushed the field to celebrate the program's first win since starting in 2009.
