21 `Dogs Earn WAC Academic Honors

    DENVER, Colo. - The Western Athletic Conference recognized 21 Bulldogs with 2011-12 winter academic all-WAC honors this week for their exceptional performance in classroom throughout the past school year.

    The winter season includes men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track and field, women's swimming and diving and gymnastics teams.

    Women's basketball had six honorees, women's indoor track and field had five honorees and swimming and diving led the way with 10 honorees.

    To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.00 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.

    The following is a list of Fresno State's winter sport honorees:
