Senior Remi Boutillier was named the Fresno State Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week (April 23-29) after winning his 100th-career doubles win on Saturday against Pacific.
He went 2-1 singles and 3-0 doubles for the week against No.55 UCSB, No. 7 Pepperdine and Pacific. He defeated UCSB's 122 th-ranked Mathieu Forget, 6-3, 6-1, and upset Pepperdine's 6th-ranked duo, Llompart/Tearney, 8-5, with partner Francis Alcantara in doubles play.
Boutillier also improved his career singles record to 96-31, moving him into fifth place on the school's all-time singles wins list. When paired with his 100 career doubles wins, he is of the most successful players the men's tennis program has ever had.
He is currently ranked No. 25 in singles and No. 80 in doubles with Alcantara.
