Fresno State Adds to Social Media Lineup

FRESNO, Calif. - Social media has become a daily part of the lives of many throughout the Valley and the nation. People visit sites like Facebook, Twitter and Pitnerest on their phones and computers numerous times a day. Fresno State Athletics recently added Pinterest to its resume of social media websites used to promote Bulldog student-athletes, coaches and community.
"The world of social media is constantly evolving and by adding a Pinterest page, Fresno State is keeping up with the changing landscape of social media," said Senior Associate Director of Athletics Paul Ladwig. "This is a unique medium to interact with our fans and share Bulldog related interests via pinboards."
Pinterest is a pinboard-style social photo sharing website. It allows users to craft and manage image collections such as events, interests, hobbies and more. Followers of Fresno State's Pinterest page will be able to follow pinboards that include, Defining moments, Top `Dogs, TimeOut & Friends, Tailgating Must Have's, Bulldog Gear and more.
Pinterest's mission is to "connect everyone in the world through the `things' they find interesting" via a global platform of inspiration and idea sharing. Pinterest has quickly grown into the third largest social media website.
Fans already have the option to follow the `Dogs on Twitter, become on a fan on Facebook or subscribe to the Bulldogs YouTube account.
At these three locations, you will receive notices of up-to-the-minute official posts, "tweets," photos and videos as Fresno State Athletics brings you the story of your 450 student-athletes and coaches, the true pride of the San Joaquin Valley.
By signing up as a "fan," "follower" and "subscriber," you will receive score updates, promotional activities, press releases, recaps and a unique viewpoint of your student-athletes and coaches. Access to all of these social networks is free.
