Fresno State senior pitcher Tom Harlan was named the Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week for May 21-27.
Harlan, a senior from San Bruno, Calif. 9Archbishop Riordan HS), earned the weekly honor after helping pitch the Bulldogs winning a piece of its seventh-straight Western Athletic Conference title and sixth NCAA Tournament bid in the past seven years.
The south paw struck out 14 in 13.1 innings and did not allow a walk. He recorded two starts at the WAC Tournament the second start was on three days rest. Harlan went 1-0 over at the conference tournament in Mesa, Ariz.
Also, during his second start his performance helped propel the `Dogs to the WAC Championship game and was named to the all-tournament team.
