    COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West Conference announced the 2013 Spring Academic All-MW teams on Thursday afternoon and Fresno State had 79 student-athletes earn the honor.

    Spring sports include baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's golf, softball, women's swimming and diving, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's track and field.

    To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.

    The Bulldog Track and Field team led the way with 19 honorees, while swimming and diving and baseball had 12. Women's basketball and softball had nine student-athletes named and women's tennis had six.

    Women's Golf had five earn the conference academic accolade, while Men's Tennis had three. Men's Golf and Basketball both had two academic all-conference selections.

    A total of 122 Bulldogs earned Academic All-Mountain West honors in 2012-13.
