July 2, 2007 FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State Athletics Director Thomas Boeh has announced the appointment of Daniel White as the Associate Athletics Director for Development. White currently serves as the Assistant Athletics Director for Development at Northern Illinois University. He will oversee all aspects of the Bulldog Foundation and will begin his duties at Fresno State on July 16, 2007. White presently manages the Northern Illinois scholarship fund and oversees a staff of seven professionals. He was also a key contributor to the completion of a $14 million privately funded Academic and Athletic Performance Center on the Northern Illinois campus. White's background is one of extraordinary accomplishment in a short time frame. "Daniel has built a proven track record of success and earned a reputation as a rising star in a period of just several years. We are pleased he is joining our management team and expect him to make an immediate and significant impact here at Fresno State," said Boeh. Prior to Northern Illinois, White served as a Development Associate at the University of Mississippi. White was also very successful at Ole' Miss, assisting in the coordination of a $9.5 million annual fund and assisted in the organization and planning of a $7 million baseball stadium expansion. He began his professional career at Ohio University, where he served as Director of Basketball Operations before becoming an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach. During his intercollegiate athletic career, White played basketball at Towson University prior to transferring to the University of Notre Dame, where he was a member of the 2002 team that achieved a record of 22-11 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. White received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Notre Dame in 2002 as well as an MBA and master's degree in Sports Administration from Ohio in 2004 and 2005 respectively. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Higher Education at Northern Illinois. |
