FRESNO, Calif. --- As Fresno State Athletics prepares for its first season in the Mountain West, the Bulldogs unveil a new experience at GoBulldogs.com on Wednesday in an effort to provide fans with a simple, consistent and dynamic platform through which they can access all things Bulldog Athletics.

"We are thrilled to invite our Bulldog family to experience a new way to stay connected with everything that our student-athletes, coaches and staff produce on and off the field," Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Relations Paul Ladwig said.

Fresno State joined the CBS Interactive network on Oct. 30, 1998. This platform, which is the standard for Mountain West programs and the official conference site, is nationally respected as providing the most complete and integrated services, including Gametracker, All-Access and mobile viewing.

In the past year, there have been over five million visits to GoBulldogs.com and ranks among the best in the West.

"We pride ourselves in fostering the best student-athlete experience and we believe that our newly revamped GoBulldogs.com will allow us to remain a leader in providing the best coverage of Fresno State Athletics," Ladwig noted. "Our partnerships with CBS Interactive and Learfield Sports are tremendous, and this is another example of how our team has been working hard every day to showcase our transition into the Mountain West!"

    Honoring the San Joaquin Valley
The new design acts as an extension of the Department of Athletics, as well as a way to celebrate the San Joaquin Valley. The site was developed with a consistent look flowing from page to page. The sides feature distinct images of the Valley's tule fog, agricultural land, rolling hills and Sierra Nevada Mountain Range combined with the distinctive lights of Bulldog Stadium to add an athletics flare.

The San Joaquin Valley is also honored at the bottom of the screen, which features a running scoreboard as well as the green "V" displayed in the center.

The "V" symbolizes Fresno State's connection to the Valley and color green was selected to honor the importance of the agriculture industry to the region. The University is one of the most prominent agriculture schools in the nation and the Valley is the world's richest agricultural area in export dollars.

The green "V" that is featured most predominantly inside the blue stripe on the back of Fresno State's football helmets recognizes the pride of the student-athletes, coaches and staff in representing the San Joaquin Valley. The mark can also be found on the dog color of the Bulldogs' logo and throughout the Department of Athletics.

    More Video, Improved Navigation
The new GoBulldogs.com features more content and an increase in multimedia opportunities, while creating a better flow and simplicity throughout the site.

At the top, there are six main tabs: Sports, Tickets, Inside Athletics, Facilities, How to Give, and Bulldog Shop.

On the main page and each sport's home page, the site highlights six main headlines, as well as seven additional news stories. For each main headline, the new GoBulldogs.com has the ability to integrate video content into the featured headline pictures.

To the left of the main headlines, fans have access to additional content through the triangle play button, which leads to the All-Access video platform and links to live events, and through the Facebook and Twitter button, which leads to the Official Fresno State Athletics social media platforms.

In an effort to provide fans with easy access to knowledge of Bulldog events, GoBulldogs.com features more prominently a Calendar, which shows upcoming events for all of the `Dogs, and a Results tab, showing the outcome of all events.

Inside Athletics contains all content pertaining to anything not related to the other very specific tabs.

Through the new design, Fresno State Athletics is able to recognize and celebrate media partners for all sports.

When venturing to a specific sport page, GoBulldogs.com now offers a sticky bar on each page that provides fans with easy access to the six main tabs that are seen on the home page, as well as links to the sports' respective News, Roster/Coaches, Schedule/Results, Stats, Archives and More Links. On each page story and bio page, the recently launched integrated marketing efforts of the university are portrayed through side banners and at the bottom of the page.

    Social Media Engagement
In addition to the social media feeds on the main and sport home pages, fans can connect through social media to the 'Dogs through a social media interactive bar which appears at the top of any news release on GoBulldogs.com.

This bar will allow fans to share the story through Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Google+, as well as print or E-mail the story.

There is also a newly launched Social Media Networks directory with links to official pages for Fresno State Athletics and coaches' official accounts.

The new look of GoBulldogs.com provides fans the opportunity to access information in the most dynamically, simple and consistent way possible.
