FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State and Children's Hospital in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Fresno has teamed up once again for the Big Heroes-Little Heroes Program.
The first event will be a Halloween Party on Wed., Oct. 19, 6:30-8:00 p.m., in Conference Room A/B (downstairs on ground floor) at Children's Hospital.
A valued and honored partnership between the Bulldogs, Children's Hospital and the Rotary Club, Fresno State student-athletes from nearly all the sports will be on hand as pizza, games and pumpkin carving highlight the event.
Bulldog student-athletes continue their relationship with patients to increase self-esteem, establish role models and be a needed support system for the youth.
With six scheduled events set for the academic year, there are approximately 70 Fresno State student-athletes who are participating in this program. Other activities include bringing their Little Hero to sporting events as well as making monthly calls to check in on them.
