FRESNO, Calif. - In an attempt to assist youths of college communities, the NCAA is promoting "Take a Kid to the Game." The program is intended to get disadvantaged children involved in college athletics.
Fans with a game ticket can take children ages 14-and-under to the Fresno State vs. Tulsa football game on Saturday, Oct. 28. Ticket prices for the children are just $5 and only 500 are available for the game.
"This is a great program that will benefit a lot of children from the Valley," said Fresno State head coach Pat Hill. "I'd like to encourage Bulldog fans to take advantage of this program. This is a great chance to spend some time with a young person and treat them to a wholesome, entertaining event. I'm very proud of our team and Bulldog players have been role models in our community for years. We are happy to participate in this program."
Tickets for "Take a Kid to the Game" are available only at the Bulldog Ticket Office until Friday at 6 p.m.
Individuals or businesses that want to purchase tickets for groups of disadvantaged children for the "Take a Kid to the Game" program can contact the Fresno State Athletics Marketing Department at (559) 244-2800.
