Sophomore guard Kevin Olekaibe (Las Vegas, Nev.) led Fresno State to a 68-65 road victory at Arizona State, where he scored the go-ahead 3-pointer with 29 seconds left and helped the Bulldogs erase a 17-point deficit with a career-high 30 points.

On the week, he averaged 29.0 points in the 'Dogs two road games while shooting 58.3 percent (21-for-36) from the field and 47.4 percent (9-for-19) on 3-pointers despite playing with an ankle injury. He also added an average of 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per contest.

His play in Tempe lifted Fresno State to its first over the Sun Devils in 50 years and the 'Dogs second win over school from a BCS-AQ conference, the first time for the Bulldogs accomplished that feat since the 2001-02 season. The Bulldogs downed the Pac-12's Utah by 30 points earlier this month.

With his 30-point effort against ASU and a 28-point night also on the road at Boise State, Olekaibe tallied his fourth and fifth games of 25 or more points this year. With a season average of now 20.2 points per game, Olekaibe ranks 17th in the nation in scoring and tied for the third-highest clip among D-I sophomores.
