Paul Ladwig enters his seventh year at Fresno State and first as the Senior Associate Athletics for External after serving for the previous six years as the Associate Athletics Director over External Relations and Broadcasting.

In addition to continuing his previous role as a department spokesperson and oversight of advertising, communications, marketing, merchandising, licensing, ticket sales, video services and web operations, Ladwig assumes shared oversight of the Bulldog Foundation.

This reorganization allows for the integration and merging of all external communication and outreach under Ladwig's direction. Throughout his time with the Dogs, he has consistently collaborated to promote and enhance Fresno State Athletics with stronger media partnerships, the addition of a new videoboard at Bulldog Stadium and the creation of environmentally-conscious virtual team guides.

Since joining Fresno State in November 2005, Ladwig has found new ways to promote and enhance Fresno State Athletics in the venues the department controls. With the creation of the Bulldog Sports Network, Ladwig increased the exposure of Fresno State Athletics through additional stations for both radio and television. With these new media partnerships, the department is finding fresh ways to tell Fresno State stories.

His vision continues to bring fans superior story-telling that incorporate the latest technologies. Collaborating with media rights holder as the department's liaison to Learfield Sports' Bulldog Sports Properties, new and additional programming for radio and television were developed. Fans will continue to enjoy Victor E. Bulldog as he starts his fifth year as the living four-legged mascot of Fresno State Athletics.

People around the world curious about the Bulldogs will continue to log onto a constantly updating website with expanded content, video and increased participatory site interaction. Fresno State Athletics Communications took the lead nationally in developing a paperless media guide in 2009. Environmental awareness, cost containment, and the ability to provide instant information to the media are several factors in the implementation of this paperless delivery system.

With a vast and varied career, Ladwig came to Fresno State after serving as the Assistant Athletics Director for Creative Services at Ohio University. At Ohio University he was charged with ensuring an effective, consistent and progressive approach from game-day activities to marketing to image enhancement. Ohio saw a record-breaking sellout crowd at Peden Stadium when the Bobcats defeated Pittsburgh on ESPN in their 2005 home opener.

Innovative, Ladwig was instrumental in creating the Ohio Sports Network, the refinement of Ohio University's web presence and the production of programming for public television. From Network Television in Los Angeles to the slopes of the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan to documentary work in Southeast Asia, the department grew considerably under Ladwig's direction.
