Men’s golf inks three recruits

Fresno State adds three Bulldogs from the Golden State to its 2017-18 roster
FRESNO, Calif. – Head men's golf coach Chad Spencer announced the additions of Cameron Delaere, Kevin Huff and Lane Pulliam to the team on Tuesday. The trio are a part of the 2016 NLI early signing period, and will be eligible to compete during the 2017-18 season.
Cameron Delaere
Hometown: Fresno, Calif.
High School: Clovis West
Expected graduation date: June 2017
Accomplishments:
• Top 15 in state junior as a 15-year-old.
• Selected to represent NorCal on Jr. America Cup Team.
• Selected to represent NorCal on California Cup Team.
• Winner of NorCal match play.
Getting to know Cameron:
• Does everything right-handed, except golf.
• Plays basketball in free time.
• Shoe collector.
Coach's comments:
"Cameron is an athlete, he is tall and has great hands. Cameron has won a couple of the biggest junior tournaments in Northern California and will continue to get better. Again another great Student-Athlete, who will excel at Fresno State. Looking forward to working with Cameron and seeing him get better."
Kevin Huff
Hometown: El Dorado Hills, Calif.
High School: Vista Del Lago
Expected graduation date: June 2017
Accomplishments:
• 67th Sacramento City Junior Easter Champion (-6).
• 2015 Boys State Fair Junior Champion (-3).
• Central Valley junior champion.
• 16 rounds of par-or-better in junior tournaments (junior year).
• Four-year high school varsity lettermen; team captain.
• League MVP for high school golf.
Getting to know Kevin:
• Was an all-star baseball player until year-round golf.
• Has three hole in ones and one double-eagle.
• Loves to play guitar.
Coach's comments
"Kevin is an all-around player that does everything well. Last year as a junior he won multiple junior events and showed incredible consistency. Not only is he a great golfer but a great student as well. We are excited to welcome Kevin to the Bulldog family!"
Lane Pulliam
Hometown: Hanford, Calif.
High School: Hanford
Expected graduation date: June 2017
Accomplishments:
• 2015 Fresno Bee Boys Player of the Year.
• Placed 5th at the 2015 Fresno City Amateur.
• Placed T-7th at California State Junior Amateur.
• California State Amateur participant.
• Low scoring record for West Yosemite League.
• Low scoring record for Lemoore Golf Course.
• Two-time Len Ross Fresno City Junior Amateur Champion.
Getting to know Lane:
• His friends call him LP.
• Loves dogs, "that's why I became one."
• Professes to be tough opponent in Gomoku.
Coach's comments:
"Lane is a stud local player, 2015 Fresno Bee player of the year. He absolutely loves the game and plays with a chip on his shoulder. He has a great ability to get the ball in hole and will continue to work hard and get better."
