'Dogs finish road trip strong against Nebraska

EUGENE, Ore. – The Fresno State men's team defeated Big Ten conference foe Nebraska in a dominating fashion Saturday morning with a final score of 7-0.
The Bulldogs took control of the match from the start, sweeping all three doubles matches to receive the doubles point.
Euan McIntosh and Patrik Pech defeated Nebraska's Toby Boyer and Dylan Bednarczyk at the No. 1 position 6-4.
In the No. 2 spot, Xander Veys and Mantas Bugailiskis defeated Davis Samarozija and Tomi Antoljak 6-3.
Rounding out doubles play, Youssef Hassan and Zdenek Derkas defeated Micah Klousia and Chris Dean of Nebraska 7-6 (4).
Fresno State had a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.
The Bulldogs singles lineup included Xander Veys (1), Euan McIntosh (2), Zdenek Derkas (3), Henrique Wojciecnowski Osorio (4), Youssef Hassan (5) and Mantas Bugailiskis (6).
Veys defeated Boyer of Nebraska at the No. 1 position 6-3, 7-6 (2).
Derkas grabbed a win for the Bulldogs at the No. 3 position defeating Antoljak 6-0, 7-5.
Hassan bested Klousia in the No. 5 spot in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.
Bugailiskis defeated Samaeozija of Nebraska 6-1, 7-6 (4) at the No. 6 position.
McIntosh and Osorio recorded wins for the Bulldogs at the No.2 and No.4 positions after their opponents retired during their matches.
Fresno State improves to 3-3 on the season after a huge win over Nebraska.
What's next?
The Bulldogs return home to take on UC Santa Barbara  Sunday, Feb. 12 in the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Complex at 1 p.m. PT.
The Gaunchos are 3-1 this season coming off a win against UOP. Santa Barbara is 2-1 on the road this season and 1-0 when facing Mountain West opponents, after defeating San Diego State 7-0 (Jan. 14).
