Fresno State finishes ninth after weather washes out final round play

TOLEDO, Ohio – Fresno State came into Tuesday at the Inverness Intercollegiate looking to climb up the leaderboard, but the third and final round of the Bulldogs' season-opening tournament was cancelled due to rain and lightning in the area. Consequently, Monday's round one and two scores now become the final result as Fresno State finishes in ninth place.
Justin Avery, Alex Lee and Michael Cliff tied for 35th place to lead the Bulldogs after all three fired a 3-over-par 145 on Monday.
John Burke finishes tied for 54th after a 6-over-par 148 and Cody Riecks ties for 62nd after shooting a 7-over-par 149.
Individual entry Greg Gildea ends the tournament tied for 31st after posting a 2-over-par 144.
