• Colorado State began MW play last weekend hosting Nevada. The Rams pulled out two close wins, 4-3 in 10 innings and 2-0, while dropping the middle game of the series, 4-2.
• The Rams improved to 8-1 at home this season but they are 1-2 on the road and 6-4 in neutral site game. Colorado State beat Wisconsin to open the season and had a victory at Texas but, like the Bulldogs, dropped games against Arizona and CSUN.
• Colorado State leads the MW with a 2.44 team ERA and has conference lows in hits, runs, and home runs allowed. The squad also leads the league with 9 triples and is second with a .313 team batting average and ranks third in NCAA Div. I with 0.64 double plays turned per game.
• Sarah Muzik is hitting .467 and leads the MW with a .524 on-base percentage while Bridgette Hutton is one of the top pitchers in the league at 9-4 with a 1.80 ERA over 14 appearances.
• The Rams were picked 6th in the preseason MW poll after going 28-22 (9-15 MW) last year.
20th Anniversary of WCWS Title Celebration (More on the 1998 Team)
• Several team members as well as Coach Margie Wright will be in attendance on Saturday as Fresno State honors the 20th anniversary of the 1998 National Championship.
• Fresno State is the only non-Power 5 school that has won a WCWS national title since 1986 and is one of just two non-Power 5 schools to ever win the WCWS since its inception in 1982 (Cal State Fullerton, 1986).
McHellon Mashing
• Senior Savannah McHellon has been on an absolute tear over the last two weeks (nine games) as she has hit 6 home runs and 3 doubles and has 16 RBIs.
• She has hit five home runs in four games over the last two Fridays, including two run-rule walk-off homers, her second 2-homer game of the season, and her second grand slam this year. She has also won two games as the starting pitcher in the last two Fridays allowing just two runs and four hits over 8.0 innings.
• McHellon leads the MW and is tied for fourth in NCAA Div. I with 12 homers this season, five more home runs than any other MW player has hit. She also leads the conference in slugging percentage (.831) and total bases (69).

• The Oklahoma State transfer has been especially strong at home, as she has reached base in all 14 home games the 'Dogs have played this year while hitting .457 with a .574 OBP and 10 RBIs at Margie Wright Diamond.

• The Bulldogs have been hit by a pitch 40 times this season, more than double the second highest total in the MW (Colorado State/Nevada - 16).
