USAFA, Colo. - Fresno State dropped its series opener at Air Force, 21-5 on Friday afternoon at Falcon Field.

Fresno State (19-19, 9-7 MW) fell behind early and was never able to fight back as they were held to nine hits which included the first career base knock for Kyle Pruhsmeier in his first career at-bat.

Blake Wink, Vinny Bologna and Blake Wink all tallied two hits with Bologna and Wink each knocking out home runs.

On the mound, Jake Dixon made his 10th start this season going four innings before giving way to five relievers who each tossed one inning apiece.

How It Happened
The Falcons got the scoring started in the bottom of the first with four quick runs before the 'Dogs got on the board in the second with a leadoff home run by Bologna.

The 'Dogs cut the Falcons lead to 4-3 with a two-run bomb to right by Luna in the third, but it was all Air Force after that as the Falcons reeled off 16 unanswered runs to take a 20-3 lead after seven innings.

Two late runs came in for the 'Dogs with one in the eighth and one more in the ninth, but the Falcons had the game well in hand.
