    Junior quarterback Brian Burrell, a communications major at Fresno State, led the Bulldogs to a pivotal 40-20 conference win on the road at Nevada behind a career-high five touchdowns to keep Fresno State in the hunt for the Mountain West, West Division title. Burrell registered a career-best four touchdowns passing on a night he recorded his third career 300-yard game with 313 yards on 25-of-46 passing. He scored another on ground, rushing for 56 yards on 14 carries.
