Senior men's golfer Rufie Fessler was unanimously voted student-athlete of the week following his performance at the NCAA West Regional golf championship.
The lone Bulldog was selected as an individual to compete in the NCAA West Regional in Tempe, Ariz. on May 16-18.
Fessler finished the three-day tournament in the top-25 of the 75-player field and took home a tie for 23rd place. Although Fessler finished in the top-25 of the field, he finished in the top-10 of individuals who were not on the top-five teams that moved onto the finals.
On the tournament, Fessler recorded his second-best performance of the season and shot even par with 210 (68-71-71) while carding 11 birdies.
