2017 (Junior): Thomas earned First-Team All-Mountain West honors for the second straight season as a junior... appeared in 17 games making 15 starts on the season... ranked second in the MW in wins with eight to finish his career with 21... finished sixth in the MW in ERA (4.68) to finish his career with a 3.51 ERA... was apart of two combined shutouts tossing an inning in a 9-0 win at Sacramento State (Apr. 5) and 6.2 innings in a 4-0 win at San Diego State (May 18)... ranked fifth in the league with 90.2 innings tossed to close out his career with 236.0 innings thrown as a Bulldog... became the first Bulldog since Justin Wilson (2007-08) to toss back-to-back 100 strikeout season after finishing second in the MW in strikeouts with 100... finished second in the MW in opposing batting average holding opponents to a .245 average... tossed a season-high 8.1 innings against Nevada (Mar. 3) allowing five hits, two earned runs while striking out nine in a 3-2 win over the Wolf Pack... struck out six or more batters in 10 of his 15 starts setting a new career high with 15... allowed two earned runs or less in 10 of his 17 appearances.
2016 (Sophomore): Earned First-Team All-Mountain West honors after posting a 9-4 record with 2.16 ERA in 15 starts... tossed three complete games at No. 3 Texas A&M (March 11), at New Mexico (April 8) and at home against San Jose State (April 22) throwing a two-hit shutout striking out four and allowed no walks in a 6-0 win... led the Mountain West in strikeouts with 108... ranked second in the MW in innings pitched (104.0), ERA (2.16) and wins (9)... limited opponents to a .223 batting average... allowed only 25 earned runs, tied for second-fewest in the MW among qualified starters... posted a 6.75 strikeout-to-walk ratio only allowing 16 walks on the season... tossed six or more innings in 14 of his 15 starts, including 10 of seven-plus... allowed two or less earned runs in 10 starts... had 11 starts with six or more strikeouts, including a career-high 11 in only six innings in a 8-3 win over Youngstown State (Feb. 26)... earned three Mountain West Pitcher of the Week honors after standout performances against Air Force, San Jose State and UNLV... pitched for the USA Collegiate National Team making seven relief appearances on the summer tour... posted a 1-1 mark with a 0.95 ERA and tied for the team lead with 21 strikeouts... tossed 5.1 innings in the team's final game clinching the first-ever series win over Cuba and limited Cuba to no runs, two hits, one walk and struck out four.
2015 (Freshman): Appeared in 15 games on the mound for the 'Dogs as a freshman making seven starts.. posted a 4-3 record with a 3.92 ERA... also notched his first career save in a 3-1 win against Nevada on Apr. 12... finished sixth on the team in both innings pitched (41.1) and strikeouts (35)... pitched a season-high 6.2 innings allowing six hits, two earned runs with five strikeouts to earn a win in a 8-3 victory over UNLV (May 9)... notched first career win in relief against SJSU (Mar. 21)... added wins in starts at Sacramento State (Apr. 22) and at San Jose State (May 3), allowing zero earned runs in both appearances, as the 'Dogs shut out both opponents... tossed a season-high seven strikeouts in five innings of work against Sacramento St.
High School: Three-year letterwinner in baseball and a two-year letterwinner in basketball at Mira Mesa High in San Diego ... was a two-time All-Eastern League performer in baseball ... played for the Yankees Area Code team ... team made it to the San Diego Section championship his junior year ... was a U.S. National Army Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
