What is the Bulldog Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)?
Bulldog Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is comprised of 2+ leaders from each Fresno State Athletic Team. Meetings are held once a month in the Duncan meeting room. Bulldog SAAC discusses issues of interest pertaining to the educational, personal and athletic lives of Student-Athletes at Fresno State. Additionally, Bulldog SAAC coordinates several community service opportunities and personal development events throughout the year. Bulldog SAAC is in communication with the Director of Athletics, the WAC and NCAA in regards to rules, regulations and policies that affect the Student-Athlete experience.

Mission Statement of Bulldog SAAC
The mission of Fresno State's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare and fostering and maintaining relationships among teams, the athletic department, the university, the community and the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

Code Red Schedule of Events
The BULLDOG Student-Athlete Advisory Committee has adopted the idea of the CODE RED spirit group to help support one another at all home athletics events, and more specifically at designated games/matches/tournaments which warrant great fan support. The CODE RED events are those that will have a major impact on the seasons of our various athletic teams. When you see CODE RED, get out and support your fellow Bulldogs!

Bulldog Bowl
The Bulldog Bowl is the CHAMPS/Life Skills Competition. The competition is between Bulldog Teams, as well as a competition between WAC institutions.

  • Bulldog Bowl Cup is awarded to the team that earns the most points during the academic year
  • The previous year's winner is announced at the Welcome Back Picnic which takes place at the beginning of each school year in August.
  • A $$ prize is awarded to the winning team

    Receiving Points
    BULLDOG SAAC Reps record their team's points on a monthly basis. The SAAC reps from each team submits a point verification form at every monthly meeting. The Special Events Committee updates point values on the Bulldog Bowl Board located in the Ricchiuti Academic Center.
