Harvey Career Notes: First-team All-Serra League as a senior ... played in the Prep Start All-Star Game and the CES Literacy Classic ... team captain as a senior when he helped lead Loyola High School to a 8-3 record after the team finished 3-7 the previous two seasons.

12:13 p.m. - Wide receiver Aaron Peck becomes the 14th player to join the Fresno State football program today. Peck, the second wide receiver of the class, comes from Moreno Valley, Calif. (John W. North HS) and has great size at 6-3, 215 pounds.

11:46 a.m. - Linebacker Tui Unga out of Etiwanda, Calif. (Rancho Cucamonga High School) is the 13th student-athlete to sign with the Bulldogs today. Unga brings in good size, standing at 6-3, 215-pounds.

Max Preps voted the Trinity League as one of the 10 toughest in the nation during the 2010 season ... an offseason knee injury caused him to miss most of his senior season, but he returned to help lead St. John Bosco High School to a 9-4 record and the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section Pac-5 Division, the programs first playoff appearance since 2006 ... caught a 15-yard touchdown in the quarterfinal playoff game against San Clemente ... had four catches for 61 yards and the one touchdown in two games in 2011 ... also competed in track and field where he made the CIF finals in the long jump and triple jump ... was All-CIF in track in 2010 and 2011 ... personal-best long jump was 22 feet and his best mark in the triple jump was 44 feet.

Between calling recruits to congratulate them on signing with the Bulldogs and working with compliance to make sure all the paperwork on the National Letters of Intent is correct, the coaches also held their daily staff meeting that just ended.
10:10 a.m. - T.J. Thomas, a 6-0, 205-pound running back out of Mesa, Ariz. (Dobson HS) is the second tailback to sign with the Bulldogs today.

8:22 a.m. - Interesting note relating to Waller ... He is the first Georgia-native to join Fresno State since James Williams, also a tailback, played for the Bulldogs in 1985 and '86. Williams was from Brunswick, Ga. (Brunswick HS) and came to Fresno State via Brunswick-Taft Junior College. In 1985, Williams became just the second Bulldog running back in program history to rush for over 1,000 yards, as he had 1,111 yards from scrimmage that year as a junior and he also led the team in rushing with 885 yards.
8:14 a.m. - Fresno State just received its first out-of-state recruit when running back Marteze Waller (Eatonton, Ga./Putnam County HS) faxed in his National Letter of Intent. Waller stands at six-feet, 200 pounds.
Waller Career Notes: Named first-team All-State for Class AA by the Atlanta Journal Constitution and the Georgia Sportswriters Association in both 2010 and 2011 ... was The Telegraph's All-Middle Georgia GHSA Football Player of the Year in 2011 ... played in the GACA North/South All-Star Football game on Dec. 30, 2011 ... entered the starting lineup midway through his freshman year and ended prep career with 6,260 rushing yards - good for 13th on Georgia's all-time record list (123 yards more than legandary running back Herschel Walker) ... after team went 2-8 during his freshman season, he led the War Eagles to a 25-6 record from 2009-11, which was the school's highest three-year win total since going 26-12 from 1995-97 ... helped lead Putnam County to a 9-3 overall record as a senior and the AA Region 4 Championship when he ran for 2,180 yards and 23 touchdowns ... averaged 8.8 yards per carry as a senior ... had a 249 yard rushing game and two 300-yard games during senior season, including a 320-yard, three TD effort against Jefferson County in a first-round playoff defeat ... as a junior he led the state in rushing with 2,155 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Brierre Career Notes: Played defensive end and tight end at Valley Central High School ... second-team All-Valley selection ... helped lead team to a 12-1 record and its fifth Division IV section title in the last eight years, as the Jaguars won 12-straight games en route to winning the section championship ... caught 25 passes for 317 yards and two TDs as a junior in 2010 when his team won the league championship ... also competed in track where he threw the shot put and discus ... was the Valley League Field Athlete of the Year in 2011 ... had personal bests of 46-8 in the shot put and 156-2 in the discus ... helped lead track & field team to the Valley League Championship as a junior.
