Men compete in first indoor meet of the 1999 season.

Reno, Nev. - The throwers competed well today at the Silver State Invitational in Reno, Nev., as Matt Drinkwalter took first in the mens shot put with a throw of 52-3 3/4. Senior Luke Woydziak placed second in the mens weight throw with a personal best of 59-11 3/4.
Junior and returning All-American E.J. Jackson ran a 6.51 in the preliminaries of the mens 55 meter dash. Results are unknown for the finals of the race.
Freshman and former Hoover High athlete Duran Archie took second in the long jump with a mark of 22-2 1/2 and third in the triple jump (48-0 3/4).
Senior Chris Coleman placed third in the one mile run with a personal best of 4:23.88 and long distance runner Alex Ramirez finished third in the 3,000 meter run (8:59.47).
The mens track and field team will next participate at the Wolf Pack Indoor Invitational in Reno, Nev., on Saturday, Jan. 30.
