Women's Track and Field Team Debuts at the Silver State Invitational

Women compete in first indoor meet of the season.

Reno, Nev. - The womens track and field team made its indoor debut today at the annual Silver State Invitational in Reno, Nev., as the seniors led the way.

Senior thrower and Burbank native Sarah Goodlaw took fourth in the 20 lb. weight throw with a mark of 52-4. Senior Brooke Aderman finished seventh in the event (51-3).

Senior Stephanie Rivera ran a time of 11:32.90 in the 3,000 meter run to take fourth place. Laura Bracht ( 11:35.92) finished right behind Rivera for fifth place.

Tamikio Simpson, a senior from Gilroy, Calif., placed fourth in the 400 meter race with a time of 56.34.

And the 4 x 400 meter relay team finished fourth with a time of 3:57.23.

The womens track and field team will next participate at the Wolf Pack Indoor Invitational in Reno, Nev., on Saturday, Jan. 30.
