Fresno State:
2012 Track (Sophomore): Participated in 11 meets ... set two personal records at the WAC Championships scoring marks of 47.39-meters in the discus and 46.51-meters in the hammer throw .... also set two personal records in the indoor season with marks of 13.95-meters in the shot put and 16.32-meters in the weight throw.
2011 Track (Freshman): Placed second in the shot put at the Cal Poly Invite ... threw for 11.26-meters.
Prior to Fresno State: Was a varsity athlete at Florin HS in Sacramento.
Personal: Born July 12, 1992 in Riverside, Calif....parents are Kataii Tapa and Kaifa...has three brothers Kaifa Jr., Kavaliku and Aleksanita and one sister Meleane...enjoys reading and watching movies...lists her biggest athletic thrill as going to the state championships her senior year...most admires her mother, aunty and grandmother who are all hard working women in her family...chose Fresno State because coach Lisa (Misipeka) is a great coach and it's close to home.
