May 17, 2012. Fresno State: 2011 Cross Country: One of the top performers for the men's team last season ... Ran a season best in the Santa Clara Invitational with a time of 25:16. 2011 Track: Competed in nine meets for the Bulldogs ... named Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 2 ... recorded a season-best time of 1:52.93 in the 800-meters on April 7 ... also ran the 1,500 meters in a season-best time of 3:48.76 on May 1 ... finished first in the 1,500-meter distance event with a time of 3:52.25 at the Brutus Hamilton Open on April 22 ... placed second at the WAC Championships in the 1,500 distance race with a time of 3:50.94. 2010 Cross Country: Competed strongly for the Dogs in his first season...was the third Fresno State competitor to cross the finish at the NCAA West Regional's...earned All-WAC honors...placed eighth at WAC Championships with a time of 25:09.40. Prior to Fresno State: Competed in the Junior National Championship and was the runner-up in the 1500m. Personal: Born Nov. 23, 1989 in Laval, Quebec, Canada...parents are Diane Cloutier and Andre Bernard...has one younger sister Laurence Bernard...hobbies include running and watching TV...lists Steve Prefontaine as his favorite athlete because he never quit and always gave his best...came to Fresno State for the coaching staff. |
