The women's indoor track and field team spent three days up in Washington for the Huksy Invitational and the UW Open.

2012 Track (Senior): Competed in seven meets ... set a season best record at the Sacramento State MONDO Mid-Major Challenge in the 5,000-meter race with a time of 17:49:92 earning a third place finish.
2011 Track (Junior): Placed second at the USC Trojan Invitational in the 3,000-meter race with a personal-best of 10:15.35.
2011 Cross Country (Junior): Had a season best of 18:47 at the Hornet Jamboree in Sacramento, Calif. ... Finished 18th place at the WAC Championships finishing in a time of 19:19.8 ... Also competed in the NCAA West Regional meet.
2010 Cross Country (Sophomore): A consistent top performer for the Dogs....ran her season-best 5K race at the Bronco Invitational clocking an 17:50.5 and placed 36th...was the second Dogs to cross the finish line at WAC Championships in the 5K for a 21st place finish and a time of 18:21.46...at the NCAA West Regional 6K race finished with a time of 22:38.09...earned Academic All-WAC honor.
2010 Track (Sophomore): Ran middle-distances for the Dogs in her second season...set two personal records in the 800- and 1,500-meter races... at the Last Chance Meet clocked a 4:57.32...earned Academic All-WAC honors for the indoor season.
2009 Cross Country (Freshman): Established herself as a consistent scorer for the Bulldogs with multiple finishes among the team's top 5 ... posted a season best performance at the Bronco Invitational where she was the Bulldogs second highest scorer posting a career best time of 18:32.
2009 Track (Freshman): Ran the middle distances in her first season as a Bulldog ... timed personal-bests at the CSU Bakersfield Dual, clocking a 5:04 in the 1,500-meter.
Prior to Fresno State: Competed in distance races on the track and field team and competed for the cross country team in high school ... ran a personal best of 12:50 in the 2-mile.
Personal: Born March 28, 1990 in Ecuador ... parents are Leonor and Jorge Cruz ... has a brother, Jorge, and a twin sister, Daniela ... academic emphasis on chemistry with a minor in criminology...aspires to be a forensic scientist...enjoys running, tae-kwon-do, rock climbing and playing video games ... favorite athlete is Jefferson Perez because "he was the first and only Ecuadorian athlete to win Olympic gold"...most admires her mom because she is the strongest woman she knows and she has inspired her to become as strong and determined as she is.
