    More `Dogs Earn Academic Accolades

    50 Fresno State student-athletes were named Academic All-WAC for the spring sports season.

    Fresno State:

    2012 Outdoor (Sophomore): Competed in five meets and two events (800m and 1500m) ... ran a season best 1:57.25 in the 800m at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival.

    2011 Track (Freshman): Competed in six meets ... ran a season-best in the 800 meter with a time of 1:57.00 on March 12 against Cal Poly.

    Prior to Fresno State: Four-year varsity track and field and cross country competitor...earned MVP honors for track and field three seasons and two seasons for cross country...team was CMAC champions for three consecutive seasons.

    Personal: Born June 23, 1992 in Sanger, Calif....parents are Philip and Marsha Fox...has one sister, Amy...enjoys long boarding, trail running and hiking...lists his favorite athlete as Steve Prefontaine because he was a very inspirational runner...most admires his parents for guiding him towards a path of success.
