Fresno State opens its 2016 outdoor season at home with the CenCal Twilight.

Outdoor (Junior):
Had a busy junior season, competing in both the 110 and 400 meter hurdles events throughout the year ... picked up his lone victory of the season at the Bulldog Invitational, running a 14.46 second race in the 110m hurdles ... also had two second place finishes in that event at the Fresno State Twilight and the Mondo Mid-Major Challenge ... ran a collegiate-best time of 14.32 seconds in the 110m hurdles at the Mountain West Championships to finish fifth ... qualified for the NCAA West Regional in the 110m hurdles and ran a 14.28 second race to finish 34th.

Outdoor (Sophomore): Participated in seven meets including the Mountain West Championship ... recorded a college best in the 400H with a time of 53.20 at the Sacramento State Mondo Mid Major Challenge and the 110H with a time of 14.58 at the 2014 UC Irvine Spring Break ... won first place in the 4x4 with a time of 3:18.31 and the 110H with a time of 15.53 at the Fresno State v. Cal Poly Dual Meet ... won first place in the 400H with a time of 54.54 at the Bulldog Open ... won first place in the 110H with a time of 14.64 at the Fresno State v. Cal Poly Dual ... won first place in the 400H with a time of 54.12 at the Cal Poly/ Invitational ... won first place in the 4x4 with a time of 3:18.20 and the 110H with a time of 14.64 at the Sacramento State Mondo Mid Major Challenge.

Outdoor (Freshman):
Named to the 2013 Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field All-Conference team and 2013 Spring Academic All-Mountain West team ... silver medalist on the 4x400m relay team at the Mountain West track and field championships, 3:15.31 ... appeared in the 400-meter hurdle MW Championship final, placed fifth overall, clocking a season and personal-best time of 53.61 seconds ... his 400m H time of 53.61 finished as the No. 5 ranked time in the MW in 2013 ... also posted season and personal-best 100m hurdle time of 15.13 seconds in the MW Championship prelims ... competed in three events (100m H, 400m H, 4x400m relay) and nine meets during the season.

Prior to Fresno State: Ran track and played football at Johansen High School in Modesto ... named captain junior and senior seasons ... was the Modesto Metro Conference league champion in the 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles during senior campaign ... best times while at Johansen - 110H 14.48, 300IH 39.07, 400m 51.32, 800m 2:06.40 ... recorded 26 tackles, two INTs, two pass deflections and two fumble recoveries for the Johansen football team as a senior.

Personal: Born in Modesto, Calif. ... parents are Dwight Bland and Adrienne Tompkins ... has two older sisters, Sheray and Dashae, and a younger sister Amani and younger brother Daron ... his cousin Louis Bland played football at Washington State (2008-2010) ... enjoys working out and listening to music ... admires his mom most because she has always put family first.
