2012 Track (Sophomore): Competed in seven meets ... set three personal records in the outdoor season and one during the indoor season ... recorded a personal record in the 10,000-meter race at the WAC Championships with a time of 37:53:87 ... set a season best at the WAC Championships in the 5,000-meter race finishing at 18:08:94.
2011 Track (Freshman): Competed in eight outdoor meets for the Bulldogs and three indoor competitions.
2011 Cross Country (Freshman): Marked a time of 18:36 in the 5K at the Bronco Invitational in Santa Clara, Calif. ... Also competed in the WAC Championships finishing in a time of 19:55.9.
Prior to Fresno State: Competed on varsity track for four years and varsity cross-country for two...won first-team all-league honors in cross-country two consecutive years.
Personal: Born Nov. 2, 1992 in West Covina, Calif....parents are Maria and Francisco Galvez...has one younger brother David...enjoys running, reading, bowling, going to amusement parks, Angels games, and eating...lists her favorite athlete as Joan Benoit because she showed her persistence and hard work by winning the first women's Olympic marathon...most admires her parents because they always support her...chose Fresno State because of the atmosphere, great academic and athletic opportunities.
