● 2012 Outdoor WAC 1,500m Champion
2012-13 Outdoor (Junior): Redshirted Cross Country (Junior): Finished first for the 'Dogs in four of six events ... registered career bests in the 6K, 4-Mile and 8K ... recorded a 18:33.4 in the 6K at the Aggie Open on August 31 ... timed in at 19:56.1 in the 4-Mile at the Hornet Jamboree on Sept. 8 ... clocked a 24:14.53 in the 8K at the Sundodger Invitational on Sept. 15 to earn a season-low four points.
2011-12 Outdoor (Sophomore): Competed in seven meets ... finished 40th with a time of 4:01.70 in the 1500m at the NCAA Preliminary Round Championships ... won the 1500m Western Athletic Conference Title on May 10 ... won the 800m at the Sacramento State Hornet Invitational on March 17 ... placed third overall in the 800m at the WAC Championships with a season-best time of 1:52.32 ... named Fresno State men's track and field Bulldog of the Year and co-track student-athlete of the year ... set personal records in the 1500m (3:46.57) at the Azusa Pacific Bryan Clay Invitational on April 20, the 1-mile (4:06:87) at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational on April 28 and the 3000m (8:55.86) at the Cal Poly Dual Meet on March 10 ... ran the fastest 1500m time and the fifth fastest 800m in the WAC. Cross Country (Sophomore): One of the top performers for the men's team last season ... ran a season best in the Santa Clara Invitational with a time of 25:16.
2010-11 Outdoor (Freshman): Competed in nine meets for the Bulldogs ... recorded a season-best time of 1:51.29 in the 800-meter prelims at the WAC Championships on May 10 ... placed second at the WAC Championships in the 1,500 distance race with a time of 3:50.94 ... ran the 1,500 meters in a season-best time of 3:48.76 on May 1 ... took first-place at the Brutus Hamilton Open in the 1,500m with a time of 3:52.25 on April 22. Cross Country (Freshman): Competed strongly for the 'Dogs in his first season ... was the third Fresno State competitor to cross the finish at the NCAA West Regional ... earned All-WAC honors ... placed eighth at WAC Championships with a time of 25:09.40.
Prior to Fresno State: Competed in the Junior National Championship and was the runner-up in the 1500m.
Personal: Born Nov. 23, 1989 in Laval, Quebec, Canada ... parents are Diane Cloutier and Andre Bernard ... has one younger sister Laurence Bernard ... hobbies include running and watching TV ... lists Steve Prefontaine as his favorite athlete because he never quit and always gave his best ... came to Fresno State for the coaching staff.
