Participated in nine meets ... competed in three events ... recorded a college best 15.56m in the shot put and a 55.29m in the discus at the 2014 UC Irvine Spring Break ... won first place in the discus with 53.42m at the Fresno State v. Cal Poly Dual ... won first place in the discus with 52.45m at the Bulldog Invitational.
2012-13 Outdoor (Redshirt Sophomore): Competed in eight meets and four events, focusing in the shot put and discus ... set three personal records in one meet - hammer, discus and javelin at the Cal Poly Dual on March 9 ... took first-place and set a team season-best and personal-best 167'-06" (51.05m) distance in the discus ... posted a team season-best and personal-best 150'-05" (45.84m) in the hammer and in a first career attempt in the javelin, recorded a 121'-02" (36.94m) ... registered three wins in the discus, took No. 1 out of 22 competitors at the Cal Poly Invitational with a 165'-3.25" (50.38m) mark and took another top spot at the Bulldog Open with a 164'-08" (50.19m), in addition to the Cal Poly Dual win ... placed sixth overall at the Mountain West Championships with a 165'-11" (50.57m) mark ... tallied a personal-record of 49'-9.00" (15.16m) in the shot put at the UNLV Randall Cunningham Invitational.
2011-12 Outdoor (Sophomore): Redshirted.
2010-11 Outdoor (Freshman): Competed in eight meets ... won the discus with a throw of 49.75 meters against Cal Poly on March 12 ... threw a season-best mark of 14.35 meters in the shot put on March 19.
Prior to Fresno State: Was a two-sport athlete at El Diamante High School, competing in track and field along with football ... four-year MVP on the track and field team ... earned football MVP honors and earned all-team and all-state honors ... placed second at the state meet with a 190'-0" throw in the discus.
Personal: Born Oct. 27, 1991 in Visalia, Calif. ... parents are Jennifer Wells and Mike Sandri ... has one older brother ... hobbies include being involved with his church, watching movies and fishing ... most admires his mother ... chose Fresno State to stay close to his church and because of the great coaching.
