FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's indoor track and field team shot out of the blocks to start the season on Friday at the Save Mart Center in the Run for the Dream invitational.
The Bulldogs competed against some of the top universities in California including; USC, UCLA, Long Beach State, and UC Santa Barbara.
Meagan McKee threw 15.55 meters in Shot Put which was a personal record for her by four feet and an indoor provisional mark to take home the meet title. McKee threw 18.12 meters in the Weight Throw. Caitlin Byrd won the Weight Throw with a toss of 18.88 meters.
In the 55-meter hurdles Latrisha Jordan finished second in her heat with a time of 8.69.
Turner won her heat in a time of 7.39. Stephens was a top Bulldog finisher with a time of 7.16 and went on to the finals and finished third in a time of 7.08 which was a personal best for her.
The Run for the Dream invitational features a state-of-the-art indoor track, which is the only indoor track event in California.
Fresno State returns to action on Jan. 27-28 as the Bulldogs compete in the Jacksons Invitational in Boise, Idaho.
