    RESULTS

    Boise, Idaho - The Fresno State indoor track and field team kicked off the Mountain West Championships with a bang as Je'Nia Sears and Meagan McKee claimed two MW titles for the Bulldogs.

    McKee won the women's weight throw (64'-2.25''), edging out Colorado State sophomore, Kiah Hicks, in a close competition. Hicks also had a throw of 64'-2.25'' but McKee had a superior throw in the third round of the finals to earn the tiebreaker.

    The Fresno native, Sears, won the women's long jump. The sophomore checked in at 19'-9.50'', topping Heather Pilcher of Boise State by 3.5 inches. New Mexico's Casey Dowling took third in 19'-5.50''.

    Fresno State currently sits in sixth-place heading into the final day of the Championships. The `Dogs have 10 events on Saturday as they will try to make up ground against their conference foes.

    Action begins at 10 a.m. (PT) with the shot put and will wrap up shortly after 2 p.m. with the 4x400.
