Fresno State Finishes Invite By the Bay

FRESNO, Calif. - More personal records were broken as the Fresno State track and field team concluded competition at the Stanford Invitational Saturday. Five Bulldogs improved personal marks and five finished top 10 in their respective events.

For the second day in a row, sophomore AnaManu Folau set a new season-high mark. She finished fourth overall in the collegiate division of the discus throw with a 43.79m mark, crushing her previous high by over four meters.

Freshman Meagan Paracholski set a new high, running 4.32 seconds faster than her previous best time in the 800m run, finishing in 2:11.63.

Sophomore Alyson DeLaRosa also set a season-best time in the 800m run. She placed sixth in the sixth heat with a time of 2:13.31.

Two Bulldogs finished top 10 in the men's shot put collegiate division. Seniors Justin Cutler and Gabriel Acero had their best throws of the year in Palo Alto. Cutler and Acero threw 15.18m and 14.92m to earn sixth and ninth, respectively in the event.

Fresno State will travel to Sacramento, Calif. next Saturday, April 14 for the Sacramento Mondo Invitational.
