'Dogs Finish Mt. SAC Relays, Look To Home Meet

    WALNUT, Calif. -- Six Fresno State athletes completed competition at the highly competitive Mt. SAC Relays on Friday and Saturday afternoon in Southern California.

    Senior Meagan McKee opened the event with a fifth place finish in the women's shot put on Friday. She tossed the shot 48 feet, 5 1/2 inches (4.77 meters). In the invitational section of the hammer throw on Saturday, McKee recorded a throw of 193-11 (59.10m) to record the fifth-best collegiate throw in a field filled with professionals.

    In the open university division of the women's hammer throw, Caitlin Byrd launched a throw of 187-02 (57.06) to finish with the sixth-best collegiate throw.

    On the men's side, Roderick Dash recorded another throw of over 200 feet in the hammer. The senior threw it 200-05 (61.09m) to finish seventh overall and as the sixth-best collegiate.

    Next up for the Fresno State track and field team is their own Bulldog Invitational next Saturday, April 26 at Veteran's Memorial Stadium in Clovis.
