'Dogs Win Six in Day One of Invite

BERKELEY, Calif. - Fresno State men's and women's track and field started off strong at the Brutus Hamilton Open & Invitational Friday. The Bulldogs collectively won six events and set nine personal records during day one of the annual meet. Junior Cameron Parker helped pace a men's squad that finished first in four of the five track events they ran in. Parker won both the 100m and 200m open events.

Topping a field of 10 in the 100m dash, Parker finished in 10.69 seconds. His 21.43 second mark to win the 200m dash was a season-best time.

Fresno State went 1-2 in the 400m dash. Junior Jordan Walker won the event in 47.86 seconds with sophomore Brennen Davis close behind at 48.78 seconds. Both Walker and Davis set personal marks in the event.

Sophomore Daniel Williford won the 400m hurdles in a season-best time of 55.32 seconds.

Fellow sophomore Taylor Jackson won the triple jump with an 11.30m mark. In the 4x100m event, the women won their third relay of the outdoor season. Their 46.29 second time was just 0.23 seconds off the season best.
