Seniors Honored At Bulldog Invitational

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State men's and women's track and field team hosted the Bulldog Invitational at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis on Saturday afternoon and concluded the event honoring their seniors.
The Bulldogs played host to Sacramento State, Cal State Fullerton and Cal State Bakersfield, along with a host of individuals from area universities.
In the field events, Fresno State was led by Raul Gonzales, who won the hammer throw with a distance of 55.06. The women started off the day with Jacqueline Vazquez winning the javelin with a distance of 45.30.
In the men's triple jump, Justin Lovingood came in first with a distance of 15.35 and Andrew Mashler won the men's 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.08.
In the women's 100 meter, senior Shanelle Stephens won with a time of 12.08 and Tanae Turner finished third with a time of 12.17.
The men's relay team of Jordan Walker, Kendrick Young, Wilita Sanguma and Remington Blair won the 4x400 meter with a time of 3:16.39.
Fresno State wraps up the schedule with the WAC Tournament beginning May 10 in Honolulu, hosted by the University of Hawaii.
