FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's indoor track and field team is off to Nampa, Idaho for the 2012 Western Athletic Conference Indoor Championships beginning Thursday, Feb. 23-25 for the ninth straight year at the Jacksons Indoor Track.

Sophomore Meagan McKee took first place in the weight throw last season as a freshman giving the Bulldogs a gold medal and has improved tremendously this indoor season only to become more competitive this year.

Shanelle Stephens, Ann Poythress, Saylah Barserian, Breeauna Thompson, Latrisha Jordan, and Marrijtje Molenhuis are all returning from last year and have been competitive this indoor season in each of their running events.

After freshman Meagan Paracholski shattered the 1000-meter indoor record at the University of Washington Open for the Bulldogs since 1987, this weekend will give the 'Dogs a chance to score points in multiple areas they have not been able to before.

Thursday's event will consist of the Women's Pentathlon while Friday and Saturday will be made up of single track and field events.
