FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State men’s and women’s track and field teams are heading to San Luis Obispo to compete in the Cal Poly/Shareslo.com Invitational at the Cal Poly Track and Field Complex this Friday and Saturday, March 15-16.
The Invitational begins with a light day on Friday as only the men’s and women’s hammer throws will take place. The men get things started at 3 p.m. and will be followed by the women’s teams immediately after the completion of the men’s competition.
A full day is store on Saturday as the men’s javelin kicks the day off at 11 a.m. The field events conclude with the women’s triple jump at approximately 3 p.m. The timed events on the track start at 12:15 p.m. with the 3000-meter women’s steeple. The men will close the day with the 1600-meter relay at 3:50 p.m. For a full list of scheduled event times click HERE.
The 'Dogs will be up against UC Santa Barbara as well as the host school Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. It will be the second consecutive week the Bulldogs will have squared off against Cal Poly. Last week in Fresno at the Cal Poly Dual, the men’s team was victorious 99-71, while the women’s team fell 99-88.
The Bulldogs have competed in the Cal Poly/Shareslo.com Invitational for the past four years and have come through shining at each one.
