    DENVER, Colo. - After competing at the 2012 Shareslo.com Cal Poly Invitational in San Luis Obispo, Calif. over the weekend, the Western Athletic Conference named Meagan McKee Verizon Western Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, and Roderick Dash the Verizon Western Athletic Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for the week of March 19-25.

    McKee, a sophomore from San Jose, Calif. (Santa Teresa HS), won the shot put with a personal-record heave of 51 feet, 7.75 inches (15.74 meters). Her mark leads the WAC in the event this season and currently ranks 8th in the NCAA West Performance list and 20th in the nation.

    Dash, a junior from Atwater, Calif. (Buhach Colony HS), won the hammer throw with a personal-record mark of 189 feet, two inches (57.67 meters). His throw leads the WAC in the event this season and currently ranks 21st in the NCAA West Performance list.

    New Mexico State's LaSasha Aldredge, won Women's Track Athlete of the Week.

    Other field nominees included: Johanna Höcketstaller, Idaho; Micara Vassell, Louisiana Tech; Mareka Clark, New Mexico State; and Spela Hus, Utah State.

    Other track nominees included: Emily Paradis, Idaho; Kim Francis, Louisiana Tech; and Aubrie Haymore, Utah State.

    Utah State's Kyle McKenna, won Men's Track Athlete of the Week.

    Other field nominees included: Andrey Levkiv, Idaho and Devin Wright, Utah State.

    Other track nominees included: Jesse Villines, Idaho and Yusuf Muhammad, Louisiana Tech.
