FRESNO, Calif. -- A group of six Fresno State track and field athletes is heading down to Southern California to take place in the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif.

Five throwers and a distance runner are making the trip down south to open competition on Friday, April 18. All of the athletes competing will be in the college section, with the lone exception being senior Meagan McKee who was put into the invitational section of the women's hammer throw.

McKee is coming off of a weekend in which she set a seasonal-best in the discus to win the event. She also won the hammer throw and finished second in the shot put.

Roderick Dash will compete in the men's hammer throw. He is coming off a personal-best throw of 204 feet and three inches (62.26 meters) to post the top collegiate throw at last weekend's Mondo Mid-Major Challenge in Sacramento.
