Frank Sanders has been named gobulldogs.com/Bingham Toyota Athlete of the Week. Sanders, a sophomore middle-distance runner from Turlock, Calif. (Pitman HS) clocked regionally-qualifying times in both the 800 and 1,500-meter run over the weekend at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif. Sanders won the 1,500m run Friday, timing in at 3:50.42. On Sunday, Sanders took silver in the 800m with a time of 1:50.42. Both times are personal bests and lead the WAC by two seconds each.
Others nominated were: Steve Detwiler (baseball), Tejesvi Veerepalli (men's tennis), and Morgan Melloh (softball).
