    FRESNO, Calif.- The Fresno State track and field program held its annual awards banquet on Wednesday night in front of approximately 200 people at the Satellite Student Union.

    The Hawaiian-themed event honored current Bulldog student-athletes with team awards distributed by the coaching staff and featured presenters. The banquet also recognized this year's Fresno State track and field Hall of Fame class, which included Bob Fries, Mike Ostrum and Shannon Lieder.

    Three skits featuring members of the Bulldog track and field squad also highlighted the evening.

    Junior Ryan Moore took home two awards, as he was named the Linder Track Man of the Year and joined Matt Studwell as a co-winner of the Captain's Award. Sophomore Juan Valdez was named Outstanding Track Performer while Adam Andresen was honored as the Outstanding Field Performer.

    Seniors Jesse Smith and Kevin Holloway were recipients of the Coaches Award while Val-Pierre Dai'Re claimed the Outstanding Freshman Performer.

    On the women's side, junior Mallory Webb was named Herzog Track Woman of the Year. Junior Zinzi Evans was tabbed the Outstanding Track Performer while Katie Richardson earned the Outstanding Field Performer title.

    Seniors Aspen Marshall and Tonisha Henson received the Captain's Award while five different Bulldog seniors (Sunny Arada, Stacy Hunt, La'Sha Hill, Winnie Fletcher and Jamie Farley) shared the Coaches Award.

    Grace Wiesmann, Roxanne Selick and Brooke Cranston are nominees for the Outstanding Freshman Performer, which will be announced at the conclusion of next week's WAC Championships in Honolulu.

    Fresno State's Athlete of the Year nominations include Moore, Valdez and Smith for the men's squad and Webb, Richardson and Evans with the women's team.

    The Bulldogs are back in action this weekend at the Modesto Relays.
