Bulldogs Well-Represented At USATF National Championships
June 25, 2006 FRESNO, Calif.- A mix of current and former Fresno State track and field athletes and coaches competed at the USA Outdoor National Track and Field Championships over the weekend in Indianapolis, Ind. Two-time All-American Mallory Webb placed fourth overall in the javelin with a 163-2 (49.73m) on her third throw of the afternoon. Teammate Katie Richardson tossed 142-9 (43.52m) to take 13th. Bulldog volunteer assistant coach Kim Kreiner, competing for NIKE, established her fourth American record of 2006 when she won the javelin competition with a throw of 204-10 (62.43m). She improves on her previous record mark of 203-10 (62.12m), set on May 28 in San Mateo, Calif. Ryan Moore, a two-time WAC champion who made his NCAA Championships debut earlier this month, ran a 51.96 in the 400-meter hurdles to place 23rd. Freshman Val-Pierre Dai'Re, competing in the Junior 110-m hurdles division, ran a personal-best 13.72 in the prelims to advance to the finals, where he then improved to 13.61 for a fifth-place finish.
Fresno State track and field summer camp is scheduled for June 27-29, with the second of five track meets taking place on Thursday, June 29.
