FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State track and field program will be holding open tryouts for the 2010 season. The tryouts will be held Sept. 9-10 at 5 p.m. on Warmerdam Field at Fresno State.
Those interested in trying out for the team must fill out the tryout packet (available to download above or at the Bulldog Track & Field) and return it to the coaching staff no later than Sept. 8. All transcripts and test scores must be submitted at that time, along with proof of registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center. The Track & Field Office is located in the east wing of the North Gym, just east of the track.
On Sept 9 and 10, each prospective student-athlete should be warmed-up and ready for testing promptly at 5 p.m. All prospective student-athletes will participate in the following tests:
1. Standing Long Jump (3 Attempts)
2. Standing 5 Hop (3 Attempts)
3. Flying 30m (2 Attempts)
4. (Thowers Only) Softball Throw, Shot Put, Discus (3 Attempts)
1. 45 second run
2. (Distance Runners Only) 1 mile run
The coaching staff will post a list of acceptance/cuts for the team on the Bulldog Track & Field office door Sept. 11 at 3 p.m.
