Women's Team Takes On Regionals

The Fresno State women's cross country team will compete in the NCAA West Regional this weekend.


'Dogs Finish WAC Season On The Island

Both the men's and women's team finished fourth at the WAC Championship.

Outdoor (Senior):
In her senior season she competed at six meets ... set her best mark of the season, 2:14.92, in the 800m at the MONDO Mid-Major Challenge where she placed eighth... she also competed in the 800m at the Mountain West Championships where she placed 19th with a time of 2:32.05.

Indoor (Senior):
Closed her indoor season at the Mountain West Championships with a time of 2:31.61 in the 800m, which put her in 17th place... recorded an eighth place finish at the UW Indoor Open with a time of 1:40.00 in the 600m.

Cross Country (Red Shirt Sophomore):
Competed in four of six meets ... ran a career-best 6K at the Sundodger Invitational with a time of 22:29.18.
Track (Junior): Concluded her season at the Mountain West Championships where she ran the 800m in a time of 12:12.13... ran the 800m at five other meets for the Bulldogs.

Track (Sophomore):
Competed in 10 meets ... ran a career-best mark in the 800-meter in 2:12:13 at the Sacramento State MONDO Mid-Major Challenge.

Track (Freshman):
Was a part of the 4x400-meter relay team at the Mondo Challenge where the Bulldogs placed first.
Cross Country (Freshman):
Competed in the Roadrunner Invitational in Bakersfield, Calif. ... Finished the 5k in 4th place with a time of 19:45.

Prior to Fresno State:
Varsity track and cross-country competitor senior year...also competed on varsity soccer and track her junior team won Valley her junior year...was second in the Valley in the 800m and qualified for the state meet with her personal best time...competed at the state level in the 4x4 and 800m.

Born Aug. 6, 1992...parents are Kimberly and Raymond De la Rosa...has one younger sister Bailey De la Rosa...enjoys reading, camping, and playing soccer...she most admires her family for always being there for her...lists her biggest athletic thrill as the start and the finish of a really close race...chose Fresno State because the coaches and the teammates and because she felt she could make herself better as a runner here.
